The 2012 Tucson is a 4-door, 5-passenger sport-utility, available in 10 trims, ranging from the GL Manual FWD to the Limited Auto AWD PZEV. 

Upon introduction, the GL Manual FWD is equipped with a standard 2.0-liter, I4, 165-horsepower engine that achieves 20-mpg in the city and 27-mpg on the highway. A 5-speed manual transmission with overdrive is standard. The Limited Auto AWD PZEV is equipped with a standard 2.4-liter, I4, 170-horsepower engine that achieves 21-mpg in the city and 28-mpg on the highway. A 6-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard.
